Choose a nice day - the view from the top is terrific - if there's no cloud/rain/snow etc, and that's just in the summer!

Look out for the "evil eye" build into the tower of the church at Newchurch, though the shoppe is a bit naff. The Pendle Inn at Barley has decent beer, or the Assheton Arms at Downham - it was better food (and the beer was pretty good), though it's recently changed hands, and doesn't re-open until early April. |
