I ordered the Witchfinder rules a few days ago from Warlord Games, but a friend with an Old Glory Army card is submitting an order to Old Glory probably before the rules arrive.

So, it would be a big help if someone could take a few minutes to peruse the Blue Moon 15mm horror range & let me know which packs would be of use for the game.

I'm thinking definately the witches, werewolves & wolves. Probably the slayers & zombies even though some may be unusable. I was going to skip the vampires & angry villages since they look too Gothic.

Thanks for any help

I bet the rules would work quite well for Sleepy Hollow with a few minor tweaks. Pikes weren't much of a feature that late but 120 years or so wasn't enough to greatly improve the efficacy of a musket. Everything else you can use straight out of the rule book although it would be fun to make up some rules for the Headless Horseman. Maybe give him "Pumpkin bomb grenadoes?"

Thanks for the help.

I was going to avoid the Sleep Hollow set since they looked at least 50 years too late with powered wigs & tricorns.

The witches and werewolves look ideal. The wolves would make great barguests too. Some of the zombies would make decent noctelinger. I agree the angry villagers do look quite Gothic although quite a few of of them (woman with pitchfork and a number carrying torches)would fit in nicely. You will be able to use most of your ECW Essex miniature collection as Witchfinders and Blinders. If you buy the Sleepy Hollow set and have a spare 'Essex head' it might be possible to convert the headless horseman into a good vampire figure too.

The Sleepy Hollow set is quite good too. No nasty types, other than the Headless Horseman, but some decent 'well to do' villagers. Blue Moon 15mm figures are very nice and quite well detailed when you see them up close.
